About the project
Why is the meaning of PARKLOPname? Where does the name PARKLOP come from?
At the top of our site is a clearing that locals have long called “Lop” (LOP)
When we started to develop a project to improve this place, to build a rodelbahn and related infrastructure, we added the word “Park” to the name “LOP” to reflect our dream of creating the best place for guests to relax — and so PARKLOPname was born

Our mission is to offer our guests a unique attraction “Rodelbahn” from the German manufacturer JosefWiegand. It is a high-speed monorail track that delivers adrenaline-fueled excitement while guaranteeing safety and provides an unforgettable experience –“three in one” for guests
The Rodelbahn is a hybrid of a sledding trackand rail rides like roller coasters. In the U.S., it is also called a “toboggan” in honor of the ancient trackless sleds used by local Indians to descend mountains.
The history of the rodelbahn originates in the Alps, the cradle of European and world mountain tourism. It is in the Alps that you can observe today the greatest spread and density of classic sliding tracks; you will find it in every self-respecting mountain resort.

- Phase 3: We have finalized the detailed design of the track together with Josef Wiegand. The German partner has confirmed its readiness to deliver the equipment as soon as the contract is signed, which is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025
- Phase 4: Obtaining construction permits (November 2025 — May 2026)

Armenia is confidently strengthening its position on the tourist map of the world: in 2023, a record 2.3 million tourists visited the country, which is 39% more than in 2022. Despite a slight decrease in tourist traffic in 2024 by 5.1% (to 2.2 million people), Tsakhkadzorcontinues to be one of the most popular destinations, actively developing summer vacations such as mountain biking and hiking trails. The new tourism development strategy for 2024-2029 promises to attract even more visitors, especially from countries such as Russia, Georgia and Iran, which already account for more than 60% of the total number of tourists.
